Projects

Here are some of the bigger endurance projects I have tackled.

Recent Projects

400k (Max Vert October)

Logged 400,246 vertical feet (and 538.1 linear miles) in October 2021. Vertical gain translates close to 76 miles, or going up Mount Everest more than 13 times. This also broke the world record for most vertical gain in a month on foot.

Mosquito-Tenmile Traverse

Climbed the ridgeline of the Mosquito and Tenmile mountain ranges while attempting to claim the unsupported fastest known time over the 40-mile, 34-peak traverse.

After falling short on my first attempt due to lack of nutrition, I claimed the fastest known time by nearly six hours by finishing in 25 hours, 18 minutes and 49 seconds on my second go.

WURL

With minimal sleep and a strong support crew I was able to pull off the First WURL (Wasatach Ultimate Ridge Linkup) out and back over the course of 66 hours.

The WURL is a 32 mile, 19k vert route in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah that consists of many class 3/4/5 ridge miles. It’s one of the most aesthetic ridge traverses in the US.

Colorado Winter 14ers

Over the course 72 days during the calendar winter of 2023, I became the second person to ever climb all 59 of Colorado’s 14,000ft Mountains in a single calendar winter while taking off over 12 days from the previous record.

Being able to navigate and mitigate Colorado’s notoriously dangerous snowpack was just 1 of many challenges I faced throughout this endeavor. I look at this as my biggest accomplishment to date putting all of the skills I’ve learned from my short 4 years in the mountains into a full on alpine style project.
